July 3rd Humarock Advisory

Please be advised that the “public beach area” in Humarock will be closed at 4:30 PM on Monday, July 3, 2017.    It will re-open on July 4th, at sunrise.    This closing is aimed at addressing and ending the historical cycle of drinking and disorder that thousands of individuals, mostly teenagers and young adults cause in this area.

If you see underage adults drinking, fights brewing, dangerous fireworks or any other situation that you feel should be brought to the attention of the police, please call.   Use 911 for emergencies and 781-545-1212 for non-emergency calls.

Parking on Central Avenue and River Street will be strictly enforced. Residents and renters are reminded to insure any guests have available space off the road to park.  Any encroachment on pavement will be cited.    This is to guarantee access for public safety and other personnel.

The Scituate Police appreciates the continued support of Humarock residents in helping the Department keep the July 3rd celebration peaceful, safe and enjoyable for your family and guests.
