SANDS provides infrastructure to support the collaboration of community resources in the event of a community crisis. We can offer financial resources for programs and groups that focus efforts on preparedness, response and recovery. SANDS provides immediate assistance by identifying needs, communicating to the community, and then allocating resources.

Thanks to the ongoing and generous year-round support of SANDS and Scituate Community Christmas we were able to provide emergency assistance to those directly impacted and displaced by the Glades Road fire in 2023. We continue to identify and ensure that the needs of those affected are met and will offer support to those impacted as they rebuild and recover.

This disaster greatly depleted many of our supplies and resources on hand that are used to provide rapid aid to those impacted. We are always looking to replenish our resources so that we are able to mobilize as quickly and efficiently the next time a neighbor in our community needs immediate support.
